Report
Although late in the calendar year, BCQC's formal quizzes were revived by a movie-themed quiz by Avaneendra and Rohan. The questions were dominated by Hollywood-based questions but covered world movies, Indian movies, cinema technology and terms associated with film-making.

The quiz stuck to schedule without any unwarranted delays. Team C took an early lead which they maintained till the end of the quiz. The first round by Avaneendra was not very remunerative with many questions going unanswered. The written round featured 6 questions requiring identification of cameo appearances. This round balanced scores and brought the teams lagging behind closer to others. The second IR round by Rohan had comparatively more answerable questions resulting in close competition and teams A and B finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. 2 extra questions were added to compensate for the questions that were scrapped.

It was actually Suraj and Anubhav who had teamed up, and BVHK was the draft pick.

Thanks - changed it.

Good spread of topics (I don't agree it was dominated by Hollywood - don't have the numbers, but didn't feel like that). Good attempt to go beyond the usual suspects.

Generally on time (or made up for it).

Interesting cameo round.

Theme quizzes are not very workable, which is fine by me. This one didn't over-do that aspect.

No audience qns!

Did the Cameo round have too many points to give away?

Could have had one more theme/written round?

Occasional glitches like the Finger of God.

Questions could have benefited by better or tighter framing.

Thanks to Aadinath, Vibhav and others from COEP for organising the venue.

How about letting a Quiz Master post some of his fav questions here on this forum ? Also for those people who aren't Pune-ites, can we access your Quizzes by paying some nominal amount ( like its done by Bombay Quiz Club & QFI Chennai )
