Two Open quizzes by the BCQC on Sunday (10 June), a general quiz followed by a Sports Quiz. Here are the details:

Format: Prelims, followed by quarterfinals, semifinals & finals; individual; prior registration required; no entry fees.
Timings 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm (report by 2.15 pm)

How to get to the venueThe College of Engineering, Pune (also known as COEP or just "Engineering College") is located very close to other landmarks such as Pune Station, Sancheti Flyover, and the RTO. The Seminar Hall is on the opposite side of the Boat Club (where our informal weekend sessions take place), near the Main Building.

KQA Announcement

The eighth edition of MahaQuizzer will be held in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Panaji, Coimbatore, Thrissur and Mysore on Sunday 27th May 2012.

MahaQuizzer is the National Solo Quizzing Championship.
It is open to all, though we recommend that the taker be at least 12 years of age. The quiz will require takers to answer 150 questions in 90 minutes--in celebration of the ethic of working out questions.

Entry is free in most centres; some quiz associations may charge a nominal entry fee to recover venue costs.

The setters are: Mitesh Agarwal, Urmila Lakshmanan, Vivek Kartikeyan, Rajagopal P.S., and Rahul Kottalgi.

Prizes will be awarded in each city for the best performances from School, College, Lady and Open entrants. In addition, the all-India winner will receive the Wing Commander GR Mulky Memorial Trophy for Quizzing Excellence at the three-day KQA Anniversary Celebrations in June (29, 30 June and 1 July). We will also put up a list of the top 100 scores in India.

It is always a good idea to register well in advance. This will allow us to make adequate arrangements for seating and for question-papers.

TATA Motors Srujan General Quiz Report

( Report By Avaneendra & Nikhil ) SRUJAN 2012, an annual fest conducted by the Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET) of TATA Motors had organized a General quiz. The Elimination round had quite a few repeat questions or peters as we call it however Finals was definitely an improvement over the Elims with some brilliant questions. The Finals consisted of 7 rounds: 2 IR, 2 D&P, 2 AV (Hollywood OSTs and Minimalist movie posters and 1 MVC)

Finals: 19 questions on Infinite Bounce clockwise, 5-image Meme Theme written round, 20 questions on Infinite Bounce anti-clockwise; In the IB rounds, teams were allowed to 'pounce' upto 4 times in the entire quiz.
